Well take off the training wheels Mama because I am a big
boy now!!
That's right, I finished training today and I feel the same haha.
Elder Fleming is now in Tainan and my new companion is Elder Sims!! He is such
a beast. He is 24 years old and from Arizona. He actually owns his own company called
Ch Ch Check It so that is awesome! He loves music and video games so we are
getting along just great!
So this week we were finally able to meet with one of our
investigators 邱弟兄
He has come to church like 4 times already but we have only been able to meet
with him once. We shared the Plan of Salvation with him and he said it sounds
so awesome but he thinks it is all a legend. He thinks all religion is just
legends.. It was really sad to see because the Plan of Salvation could bless
his life so much! But he doesn't believe it is true. And then to top things
off, he is moving today down to Tainan so we lost another investigator...
I am really excited for this transfer though. Me and Elder
Sims have some awesome plans to find, teach and baptize. We have one
investigator right now but he is not progressing in the slightest.. but we are
so fortunate to have tons of LA's that we get to work with. We even got two at
church yesterday! It was so great to see them there. One of them hasn't come in
forever and we really hope to change that. There are so many LA's here in
Taiwan. I think our ward has about 300 or so. It's so sad to see all these
people that entered into the covenant of baptism but decided to forget
everything. I don't get it.
Yesterday it rained all day. Classic. We had dinner at a
members house and it was just pouring and pouring and pouring all the way
there. We show up and one of the members was like, "Are you wet?" so
naturally I responded, "What do you think?" Then he laughed and we
ate dinner and talked about the ward mission plan. They gave us so much food
and Elder Sims couldn't even finish all the food that they gave him. It was so
awesome to get to talk about how the work is going in the ward. They all love
missionary work and they are trying so hard to get things going. We got so much
advice and it is going to help so much. I am so excited to get the work rolling
here. It's going to be awesome.
Welp, we don't have tons of time but since it is the new
year... make sure that this year is just awesome. Make some goals to become a
better person and make a plan to draw closer to our Lord.
Make 2016
awesome.
You all are so amazing and you all helped get me to where I
am today.
Love you all!!!
Elder Miles Anderson
This is us after we were soaked
