Miracles and Happy Lantern Festival

Well this week went pretty well for Elder Jones and I! We were able to see a few super cool miracles this week and we had tons of fun doing the work!

It all started on Monday. Since we have more time on Monday's, we went down to Zhanghua to play basketball with a bunch of other Elders. It was tons of fun! We enjoyed it and wrecked haha. Lots of people took pictures of us. Classic Asians. So we planned on leaving at 4 so we could get back in time and shower so we could get back to proselyting at 6. As we were about to leave we took a picture with everyone and as I went to grab my camera afterwards it was gone! We were looking in all of our bags and stuff and there was literally no where else that it could be! We spent a good portion of time looking for it and it was looking like we would be late getting back. Then one of the Elders pulls it out of his pocket and was laughing because he thought he was funny. Yes, that made our district very very angry to say the least. So we left the college as quick as possible and we were a good distance away from the train station so we needed a taxi. I turn to Elder Jones as we were walking and said, "How are we going to get a taxi?" Then one random and lonely taxi pulls around the corner!! So we got in and it took us to the train station. We were really nervous about the train times and as we walked to get the tickets we found out that there was a 自強車 (faster train) that was leaving in a few minutes! We  grabbed our tickets and ran to the train and then when we were biking home we made every single green light and we got back to proselyting at 6! It was such a cool miracle that really taught me that when we desire to be obedient, God will bless us and make things happen. So cool!

Ben is doing really well! We met with him on Saturday and we went over the baptismal interview questions to make sure everything was all good. I really liked one of his responses when we asked him a question. We asked the first questions which is (I don't have them in English so I am translating from my planner.... sorry) , "Do you believe God is our Eternal Father? Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior and Redeemer of the world?" He said yes! Then I asked him why. He pulled out his Book of Mormon and pointed to it! It really touched me! I hope you all remember that the promise in the Book of Mormon is true. When we read, ponder its message and pray about it we will know that this church is true, Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, and that Jesus is the Christ.
Ben is a stud. He came to church yesterday and the members were really nice to him and showed lots of love to him. And he brought another friend!! So he is looking good for his baptismal date! He is being very ambitious for Christ in inviting his friends to come and learn about the gospel with him. Such a great example!!

The last miracle came from exchanges! Exchanges always bring miracles, that is a fact. And since both of our areas have been struggling in finding investigators, it was cool because we both set up potential investigators the day before! As in, on Thursday we called them and set up a time to meet with them on Friday. I went on exchanges with Elder Hatch who is from Arkansas. He is so fun!! We met this new investigator and he was super cool. We taught him a simple lesson about the Godhead and the Book of Mormon. As we were winding down to finish the lesson I felt that I should invite him to be baptized. We had talked about it earlier when we gave him a chapel tour and we showed him all the baptismal pictures and I felt it was a little too quick to invite. Then I felt it again. And so did Elder Hatch. And Elder Hatch was talking at the time and he started to invite him to be baptized. And he accepted! It was so awesome and the spirit was very strong. Soo cool!!

We had interviews with President Teh this week and that is always great. I felt the spirit very strong the whole time and I am so grateful for him and his wisdom. We also had a Zone training meeting but there wasn't much training that happened... kind of a waste of time..

But all is well here! Life is good!!

I love you all so much!
